چکیده

Abstract Among the various surface modification processes, hot-dip aluminizing process has increasingly evoked considerable attention. This method proved to be commercially cost-effective and technically better than galvanizing. In contrast aluminized steel components, galvanized components cannot used in service conditions at elevated temperatures. During last few years, intensive research by researchers yielded new insights into metallurgical aspects of coating as-dipped annealed condition. The present review gives a bird’s eye view process, from early years its inception current on coating. progress thermodynamic studies, phase equilibria, identification, their crystallographic features have been traced this attempt. is not restricted briefing performed so far but also points out several issues discrepancies among results published literature. Special emphasis given development during annealing increasing horizon application alloy steels hot stamped conditions. Reference made state-of-the-art topics embracing computer simulation software sophisticated experimental techniques. However, lower hardness economy restrict wide hot-dipping process.

Titanium-Aluminum Oxide Coating on Aluminized Steel

In this study, a plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) process was used to form titanium-aluminum oxide coating on aluminized steel. The present work was mainly to study the effects of treatment time of PEO process on properties of the titanium coating. A potentiodynamic polarization corrosion test was employed to investigate the corrosion resistance of the coating. The friction coefficient and w...

Determination of Surface Topography and Composition of Cr-Free Pretreatment Layers on Hot Dip Galvanized Steel

Topography and composition of Cr-free, titanium-based pretreatment layers on hot dip galvanized steel were studied with scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry and Auger electron spectroscopy. A layer within the target coating weight range (4-10 mg Ti/m) for industrial coil coating processes contained a micro-structure with hillocks ...
